Glades Central offensive lineman Ja'Kavion Nonar makes Power 5 commitment
Glades Central offensive linemen Ja'Kavion Nonar and Keon Kindred are set to make their Power 5 intentions potential a reality.
Nonar and Kindred announced their commitment to Maryland on Thursday in post via their personal Twitter account.
A three-star prospect according to 247 Sports, Nonar selected the Terrapins among 10 total offers, including Florida, Ole Miss and Pittsburgh.
Kindred is also rated a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports and touted Division I offers from Memphis, Western Kentucky and Tulane.
Listed at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, Nonar was an All-Palm Beach County selection last season and was previously committed to Pitt. Nonar decommitted from the ACC frontrunners in August after SEC offers from Florida entered the fold.
Nonar fits the mold for Maryland tackles as no current Terrapins tackle is shorter than 6-foot-4 or weighs less than 280 pounds.
Kindred is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive tackle who also plays basketball for the Raiders.
