LETTER: Navy veteran loves his country, not president
I love my country am a proud Navy vet and have the deepest respect from the men and women protecting our way of life.
Yesterday I attended the funeral of a relative, a good man who left us too early. It was a full military honors. When three Blue Angels took off at the perfect moment next to us to honor a fallen; it brought tears to my eyes. This moment inspired me to write.
I’m seeing a lot of nice photo ops of President Trump with service members. I wonder what he truly thinks of the brave men and women who serve our great country? Or worse yet, the ones who were captured or died to defend it!
By the way, has anyone in his ancestry ever served? No, they believe it’s only for losers and suckers.
Trump continues his attacks on war heroes and respectable generals whom worked in his administration; even as he tries to claim utmost respect for the military. It is disheartening the character of people who support this atrocity. I am thinking to tear a trump yard sign in half with the words loser and sucker over each half to display his tearing us apart.
If the only thing keeping you out of jail; is being president ... then you shouldn’t be President any more. It’s a disgrace he was “Putin” office. We’ve had 4 years of a President who brings out the worst in all of us and the worst mean-spirited division I have witnessed in my lifetime.
We need one of hope to bring us back together. In 2008 Joe Biden brought us back from the worst financial disaster in recent history and amazingly after 8 years, none of the end of days lies Trump insists will happen ever materialized. But with our own eyes we can see Trump's America.
Trump demonizes the entirety of the Democratic Party; Joe respects the Republican Party and earned the respect of members of it, but he (I) want to remove the Trump cancer that infected it.
Vote him out.
