Crestview golf course closed since 2017, on track to reopen later this year
CRESTVIEW — The old Foxwood Country Club, which closed in late 2017, is getting a face-lift.
The 129-acre, 18-hole golf course was purchased by the city of Crestview last year and workers with the Kansas-based Mammoth Sports Construction are renovating the course. Repairs include replacing irrigation lines, improving drainage around the course and reshaping and re-sodding the course’s greens.
The Crestview City Council has approved a 15-year-contract with GreatLIFE Services of Lenexa, Kansas, to manage the golf course whence it reopens. Crestview City Manager Tim Bolduc said the current plan is for a soft opening this fall and an official opening of all 18 holes, along with a tournament, in January 2022.
