CRESTVIEW — The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Special Response team was able to peacefully remove a Crestview man from a trailer Saturday afternoon following a four-hour ordeal during which he held two women hostage.

The as-yet unidentified man was being sought on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. When officers arrived at a Wisteria Avenue home he barricaded himself and two women inside, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the trailer where the man had barricaded himself, the Sheriff's Office said. He threatened to shoot deputies "multiple times" during the stand off.
