General Walthau McLean

Tallahassee - General Walthau McLean, 81 of Tallahassee, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021.

General was born in Ponce de Leon, FL November 16, 1939 to General W. and Katie Miller McLean. He resided in Palatka, and Defuniak Springs before moving to Tallahassee in 1968. He was owner and operator of Mom & Dad's Restaurant on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee. He enjoyed fishing and farming, and was a member of the Marzuq Shrine, Mason Temple Jackson Lodge, and was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Diana McLean; sons, General McLean III (Marguerite) of Woodville, FL, and Dean McLean of Tallahassee; one grandchild, James Ashmore; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Catlina Diana McLean.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
