Troopers caught the alligator on video near Interstate 75 while discussing what to do about the unorthodox situation. Any large animal on a road can cause drivers trouble for drivers.

In a Twitter post, the FHP joked: "Way to at least stay in the grass shoulder and out of the travel lanes!"

A trapper was brought in to relocate the animal, FHP later reported.
