The number of Florida Covid-19 cases topped 1,000 Sunday and Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties saw their numbers creep upward as well.


Fourteen have now tested positive in Okaloosa County and two remain hospitalized.


Prayer requests were posted on several Facebook sites Sunday on behalf of one of those hospitalized, a 46-year-old nurse said to be in grave condition.


Santa Rosa County confirmed its fourth case of the deadly coronavirus Sunday, according to the Florida Department of Health website. Walton County’s count remained at four.


Overall in the state, the number of COVID-19 cases rose to 1,007. The Florida Department of Health said 937 of the sick were state residents and 70 lived elsewhere.
