CRESTVIEW — A 38-year-old woman was charged with homicide Friday after a Niceville man was found shot to death in a Crestview hotel room, lawmen say.


Lovejoy Ponthieux, from Santa Rosa Beach, was arrested after she allegedly shot 26-year-old Niceville resident Jonathan Tyler Harvard, according to Major Andrew Schneider, public information officer for the Crestview Police Department.


Harvard suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.

The shooting took place in Room 29 at the Crestview Inn, located at 564 W. James Lee Blvd., according to the Crestview Police Department.


Ponthieux is currenty at the Okaloosa County Jail without bond.


No other information about the shooting was immediately available.
