At the time of his arrest, Jacobs was a staff sergeant assigned to Eglin Air Force Base.

Bill Eddins, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announced that 31-year-old Holden Delton Jacobs pleaded no contest to 13 counts of possession of photos and motion pictures depicting sexual conduct by a child.

At the time of his arrest, Jacobs was a staff sergeant assigned to Eglin Air Force Base.

Jacobs will be sentenced March 24. He could face up to 65 years in prison, will be designated as a sexual offender and will have to register as an offender for the rest of his life, according to a press release from the State Attorney’s office.

This investigation began in December 2018 when undercover law enforcement officers discovered that the images were being offered to other users via a peer-to-peer program. The investigation traced the computer being used back to the defendant’s address and a search warrant was executed.

Additional images were discovered on his computer, including some showing children between the ages of 5 and 11 being sexually abused by adults, the release said.

Jacobs was arrested in August of 2019.
