Crooked Tale Gastro Pub, Panda Express and The Heights Classic Chicago Cuisine are all coming to Crestview soon.

CRESTVIEW — Three restaurants being built in Crestview will soon bring new tastes to the city.

Crooked Tale Gastro Pub, Panda Express and The Heights Classic Chicago Cuisine will all make their entrance into town by the end of the year.

Crooked Tale Gastro Pub

Crooked Tale Gastro Pub is eyeing an opening date sometime within a month.

The company took over the building that once housed the Helenback Restaurant located at 5206 S. Ferdon Blvd.

"We wanted to do something different that Crestview didn’t have already," Supervisor of Operations Megan Tootle said. "We also wanted something close to the bases that would offer something they like."

The restaurant will serve craft beers and wine along with high-quality pub-based food that is made fresh in-house. Some of the food that will be offered includes burgers, wings and rice bowls.

The restaurant will also host weekly activities including karaoke nights, trivia nights and game nights.

Panda Express

Panda Express is looking to open on Dec. 6.

The restaurant is opening next to Zaxby’s and will offer American-Chinese food including orange chicken, chow mein and egg rolls.

"We are always looking to expand our brand and we wanted to share in the Crestview community," Panda Express marketing manager Rachel Meyer said. "We wanted to share one of our biggest values which is giving and there’s no better way to give back to the community than to have a store there."

The Heights Classic Chicago Cuisine

The Heights Classic Chicago Cuisine is targeting a mid-December opening at 482 N. Wilson St.

Restaurant owner Bill Toannon, who also owns Casbah Coffee, said he and his wife wanted to open another business in the downtown district to attract people to the area.

"We wanted to have a restaurant that is open late at night because we want people to stay in Crestview," Toannon said. "We want to see the downtown community grow and make it a safer place. We want to make it more vibrant."

The Chicago-themed restaurant will feature Chicago classics such as deep dish pizza, Chicago dogs and hot Italian beef sandwiches. The restaurant will also offer burgers, salads, pastas, appetizers and include a bar.
