The Florida Department of Law Enforcement conducted an evidence search Friday in Baker.
BAKER — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) spent several hours Friday conducting an evidence search in a wooded area of Baker.
Investigators began the search early Friday morning along State Road 189, half a mile from the Baker traffic light. Investigators used metal detectors, limb trimmers and shovels to aid them in the search.
FDLE Public Information Officer Gretl Plessinger said the search was planned, but would not specific which case it was for.
"It is a long-term investigation, so it was not something that just happened," Plessinger said. "There is no danger to the public."
