CRESTVIEW — Members of the community had the chance to share their ideas, questions, compliments and concerns with local law enforcement and government officials during the Coffee with a Cop event on April 10.

Residents met with Police Chief Jamie Grant, Assistant Police Chief Lisa Sprague and other officers, along with Crestview City Councilwoman Cynthia Brown at the landmark Tropical Palm Restaurant on Main Street during the event.

The informal bimonthly gathering, held at various venues around town, is organized by the Crestview Police Department’s Community Services Division and offers the public a chance to meet with police officials in a relaxed atmosphere away from the formality of a visit to the Police Department’s headquarters on Stillwell Boulevard.

Residents asked questions on a variety of topics, ranging from neighborhood speeders to the city’s persistent traffic woes during the two-hour event.

Local restaurants interested in hosting the June 12 Coffee with a Cop can contact Officer Wanda Hulion at (850) 305-2905 or Officer Sam Kimmons at (850) 305-7831. Host venues are requested to provide complimentary coffee during the two-hour event.
