CRESTVIEW — Walmart began delivering groceries to shoppers' doorsteps Wednesday.
The store is expanding its delivery service to Crestview and outlying areas of Niceville, Destin and Fort Walton Beach, according to a press release.
Customers can also use the delivery service to purchase non-grocery items such as toys, baby and beauty items and electronics.
To use the service, customers first enter their zip codes and order groceries at walmart.com or the Walmart Grocery mobile app. The grocery search feature at the top of the screen helps find the exact items to add to their cart. Customers can also filter items that meet special dietary needs like gluten free, paleo and non-dairy products.
Personal shoppers then select the produce, meats and other items each customer requested.
Drivers will deliver the orders to the customers' locations during the one-hour delivery window customers choose.
Customers will be charged a delivery fee, but no subscription is required.
