CRESTVIEW — A man was arrested for felony aggravated battery after slapping, choking and punching his girlfriend during a fight.

A woman told a Crestview police officer that her live-in boyfriend came home and they began arguing. He slapped her in the face.

The woman said she was trying to isolate herself in another room, but the man grabbed her by the throat and swung her into a wall. He continued to scream at her and punched her with a closed fist in the left side of the face.

She was able to leave the apartment and call 911.

The officer noticed bruising on her face, a thumb imprint on her throat and swelling of her ear.
