CRESTVIEW — A man was arrested after he refused to give his name to a police officer who was trying to trespass him from a property.

According to a Crestview Police Department report, a business owner contacted police asking them to give the 41-year-old man a trespass warning from their property. The man was standing outside in front of the business when the officer approached him.

The officer said he needed the man’s name in order to trespass him, but the man refused to give his name, saying that because he was not on the property, he couldn’t be trespassed.

The officer told him he could be charged for not providing his name, and he still refused.

The man was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice without violence.
