CRESTVIEW — An Alabama was seriously hurt in an accident Saturday when he was rear-ended on his motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Amethyst Rose Sandelier, 20, of Crestview, was driving her Honda CRV north in the left lane of State Road 85 near Riverwood Drive about 5:30 p.m. when she struck the rear of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Andreas Manual Compy, 24, of Lillian, Alabama, the FHP reported in a news release.
Compy was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with serious injuries. Sandelier was charged with driving without a license and careless driving, the release said.
Compy was not wearing a helmet, the release said.
Wayne Owens was on his way home from work in Fort Walton Beach when he saw the accident.
"I was holding the man's (bleeding) head in the middle of the street ... in front of the Chevrolet dealer in Crestview (on) Saturday evening," Owens said.
