CRESTVIEW – A 52-year-old Crestview woman, angry that her husband changed the time of his trip to Arkansas, was arrested after she bit him during the ensuing argument.
The woman told Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies that he was supposed to leave the day of the argument but had delayed his departure for a week, according to his OCSO arrest report.
She said he grabbed her first and took her to the ground, cutting off her ability to breathe.
She said she threatened him at that time, telling him that she would cut him with something sharp if he did not let her go.
She did not have any injuries or marks to support her version of events, the deputy noted.
The victim told the deputy that he and his wife went to the bus station to change the ticket for his trip back to Arkansas.
He said they argued in the car on the way back and that the argument continued when they went inside. He said they both threw things around the home during the argument.
It escalated when the suspect “took a swing” at her husband. He was able to block it and said he tried to restrain her, which is when they went to the floor. During that altercation, she bit him on the arm, he told the deputy.
He said he released her once she bit him.
The wife was determined to be the primary aggressor, the report said.
She was charged with battery.
