LAUREL HILL — A woman was arrested after she was pulled over for speeding and told a deputy she had a roach in her car.
According to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, on April 3 a deputy pulled over a driver for going 51 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour speed zone. When he approached the driver, he detected the odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle, but did not let her know.
While speaking with her, the woman told the deputy she had a roach in the center console. A search warrant yielded a jar of marijuana.
The woman was cited for speeding and arrested for possessing marijuana, a misdemeanor.
