CRESTVIEW — A teenager was arrested after officers pulled him over for running a stop sign and found two guns, one of which was reported stolen, in his vehicle.

The 19-year-old Crestview man was pulled over while driving his 2001 Buick through a stop sign intersection without stopping on March 22, according to a Crestview Police Department arrest report.

Officers smelled the odor of marijuana emanating form the vehicle, but after searching the car were unable to locate any contraband. The car’s passenger, however, did tell police he had a pair of brass knuckles in his pocket.

While searching the man, officers located a black Ruger LCP .380 attached to his right ankle. A search of the firearm in police databases revealed it had been reported stolen out of Escambia County.

Another gun, a revolver, was found underneath the front passenger seat where the man had been sitting.

He was arrested and charged with one count of carrying a concealed firearm and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
