NICEVILLE — Six Crestview residents attending Northwest Florida State College placed at the regional SkillsUSA competition, held Feb. 7 in Pensacola. Those students are now eligible to compete at the state competition, scheduled from April 30-May 2 in Pensacola.

SkillsUSA is an educational partnership that provides students, teachers and other professionals with the tools needed to excel in the workforce. The organization hosts competitions at the local, regional, state and national levels each year to test the skill set of students who are preparing to begin their careers.

"We are so proud of the record number of students competing and placing in the SkillsUSA regional competition," said NWFSC President Devin Stephenson.
