CRESTVIEW — An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy who pulled over a car going 88 miles per hour on Interstate 10 learned that both adult occupants had recently smoked marijuana.
The deputy found marijuana in the car, along with rolling papers. All were within reach of the driver and the front seat passenger.
They also were within reach of a child in a car seat, according to the driver’s OCSO arrest report.
The 28-year-old driver and his front seat passenger both claimed the marijuana and the paraphernalia. They also said they smoke weekly.
The driver also had a suspended license.
He was charged with driving with a suspended license, child neglect and possession of drugs, marijuana and paraphernalia.
