CRESTVIEW — A man who went to a friend’s house and stole his pain medication was charged with grand theft.
The victim told Crestview Police Department officers that he had just gotten his prescription filled when his friend, a 49-year-old Holt man, stopped by.
He asked if he could use the victim’s restroom and after he left the victim noticed all 120 pills were gone, according to his Crestview Police Department arrest report.
The victim called his phone but he had blocked the number. Before the theft of the pain medication, he’d called repeatedly to see when the victim would be home with his meds, the report said.
He’d also told the victim he could sell the pills to people and get $6 to $8 a pill.
