The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 9-year-old boy who is believed to have hanged himself last week.
The body of the Crestview boy, who has not been identified, was found at 3 p.m. on Nov. 10. He was found in the bedroom of his home.
There were no additional signs of trauma, but the home was in disarray and the utilities were off, according to a statement from OCSO.
There were no indications of a struggle, according to OCSO. An open investigation continues into the child's death, although there were no indications of foul play.
The scene was captured on deputies' body-worn cameras. Information provided to OCSO by the family is being investigated.
An autopsy has been conducted.
