Allegiant is launching a new, nonstop service from the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) to Las Vegas. To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares for as low as $69. The company made the announcement in a news release Friday morning.
“Allegiant is very excited to launch this route between Las Vegas and Destin/Fort Walton Beach,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “We look forward to bringing folks from the Panhandle of Florida to visit the Entertainment Capital of the World with our unique brand of convenient and ultra-low fare service.”
The new year-round route will operate twice weekly. With this new route, Allegiant will now operate six routes to and from Destin/Fort Walton Beach via VPS. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.
“We are very excited to have a nonstop connection to Las Vegas. As well, folks from Nevada can now fly to Destin-Fort Walton Beach. Destin beaches ranked number one on the ‘Best Florida Beaches’ list by U.S. News & World Report,” said Tracy Stage, airports director, Okaloosa County Airports.
