CRESTVIEW — A man with a provocative pipe was arrested after he gave a police officer a false name, according to an arrest report.

The 39-year-old Crestview man was spotted in his car outside 6 Brothers Thrifty Food a little after midnight on Aug. 23. A Crestview police officer asked to see his driver’s license and discovered the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office had a warrant for his arrest.

When officers searched the man they found a pipe with two figures on the top having sexual intercourse with the charred remains of marijuana inside the bowl, the officer wrote in the arrest report.

The man said people on the street called him a particular name, and that it was “just weed” in the pipe. The name was not his real name.

He was charged with obstruction without violence and possession of drug paraphernalia. His court date is Sept. 21.
