Fortune Magazine released its annual ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ report where Florida companies in Deerfield Beach, Weston, Clearwater and other cities were highlighted.

Looking for a job? You might try securing one at a few of Florida’s top companies. Fortune Magazine released its employee rated list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For this week where five Florida companies made the cut.


Ultimate Software, based out of Weston,made its ninth consecutive appearance on Fortune’s list. The human resources software company secured the number two spot on this year’s list by offering employees perks like fully paid health care premiums and unlimited paid time off.


JM Family Enterprises, an automotive services company in Deerfield Beach, was ranked 26th for treating its employees like family. More than 4,000 JM Family Enterprises workers are able to take advantage of an on-site childcare facility at the company headquarters, up to $10,000 in adoption assistance, as well as a 60-day personal leave-of-absence policy. Employees who have been with the company for more than 10 years receive an all-inclusive weekend vacation at a Florida resort every five years until they retire.


Interested in working in the healthcare field? You might give BayCare Health System a look. Based out of Clearwater, this nonprofit health group employs more than 25,000 people and still manages to create a team-focused environment. The company, which boasts an impressive 76% majority of female employees, offers a ton of perks such as career counseling and mentorship as well as access to mental health and substance abuse counseling. Additionally, employees have access to on-site perks like car-cleaning service and dry cleaning.


With more than 65 percent of recent college graduates reportedly crippled by almost $30,000 in student loans, Publix loan forgiveness program might make people think hard about submitting an application. Their tuition reimbursement is available to employees in an approved area of study to anyone working an average of 10 hours weekly with at least six months of continuous tenure. The company, which is headquartered in Lakeland, employs more than 206,000 people across several states.


At Baptist Health South Florida everyone is encouraged to participate in the company’s “Day of Smiles” holiday. Doctors and other health care professionals work closely with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters School to Work program to offer charitable medical procedures. Employee perks include an on-site gym, paid sick days for part-time employees as well as subsidized child care.
