Community sports briefs

May Day Golf Tournament
Carver Hill Memorial and Historical Society, Inc., is sponsoring its annual May Day Golf tournament on May 25.
Entry fee for the tournament is $45 per person in the four-man Florida lowball format and includes lunch.
Hole sponsors and door prizes are still needed.

Little League Membership Meeting
Crestview Little League is holding its Annual General Membership meeting May 17 at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Airport Road Church of Christ. For more information you can visit the league Web site at www.crestviewlittleleague.com or call 423-1011.

DMS Cheerleaders Golf Tournament
The Davidson Midddle School cheerleaders’ golf event is May 31 at 8 a.m. at Foxwood Country Club. Format is four-person scramble. Entry fee is $40 dollars for members and $50 for non-members.
Fee includes: cart, green fee, food, T-shirt and lots of door prizes

CHS Basketball Camp
The Crestview High School Basketball Junior League camp will be held each Saturday from May 17-June 7.
The camp is open for boys and girls ages 6-12.
The registration fee is $35. Checks should be made payable to CHS basketball.
The camp includes for days of instruction, lessons and games.
Players will practice from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. each day and then play games from noon -4 p.m.
Campers should bring their own lunch.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the CHS gym.

“Fore Women” Golf Tournament
The Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Walton Area, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City Beaches Chambers of Commerce, announce the Athena “Fore Women” Golf Tournament set for May 19 at the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club, presented by Hammock Bay and Destin Jet.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Athena International Award program for the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast and the founding of the Athena Scholarship Program for Women.
In addition to individual entry fees, there are multiple levels of sponsorship available. Please respond quickly as sponsorships are limited.

Senior Aerobics
The Senior Center at Old Spanish Trail Park on Stillwell Blvd. in Crestview is hosting low impact aerobics every Monday from 9-10 a.m. A $5 fee applies. Call Tammy at 682-0647 for details, and feel free to pick up a calendar for other activities at the center.

Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18 at 8 a.m. Camping at Pine Log State Forest and hiking on Nokuse and Pine Log. Details (850) 341-1389.
Saturday, May 24 – Sunday, May 25, at 8 a.m. Camping, canoeing, and hiking event on Juniper Creek in Santa Rosa County. Details (850) 623-1646.
Tuesday, May 27, at 6 p.m. Monthly meeting at LaRumba restaurant in Niceville. Visitors welcome. Details: 682-6098.
