Vikings roll past Bulldogs

Bulldog coach Tim Hatten chose to call a quick out pass to the front corner of the end zone and Viking defensive back Brandon Thomas stepped in front of D.J. Stewart and returned the Khalil Foster pass to the Bulldog 32-yard line.

On a third and 16 from the Bulldog 26 Viking quarterback Colby Tuthill hit Trace Ryan with a scoring pass with 5:06 left in the half.

Bulldog coach Tim Hatten took responsibility for the call on the interception.

“It was a pretty stupid call on my part,” he said. “We had been hammering them all night on the power. And he (Foster) made a bad pass on a bad play call.

“I put him in a bad position as a coach and we probably should have just hammered it up in there.”

The Bulldogs continued to have their chances in the second half.

Crestview linebacker Blayze Spencer intercepted a pass, but the Bulldogs were unable to capitalize on the turnover.
