It has been rough going for the Bulldogs Fort Walton Beach High School’s Southern Resort Beach Blowout Basketball Tournament. Crestview opened the tournament with a 74-44 loss to Kentucky powerhouse, the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado.     CRESTVIEW — Football at the University of West Florida took a big step forward Friday and former Crestview High standout Tyler Henderson was part of the historical event. Henderson along with former Davidson Middle School offensive lineman Blake McCall became the first two players signed by the program. West Florida starts play in the NCAA Division II Gulf South Conference in 2016. READ MORE

    CRESTVIEW — For three quarters Crestview High School and rival Niceville were even in District 1-7A boys basketball Friday night. For every run the Eagles could muster the Bulldogs would answer and vice versa. At the end of the third quarter the game was tied 43 all.   • Players end high school football career in all-star game

    NICEVILLE — Six local senior high school football players took to the field one last time Thursday night in the Pensacola Sports Association Subway Series All-Star Football Game. Baker School’s Austin Martin and Jonathan Gatewood, along with Crestview High School’s Nathan Gerard, D.J. Stewart, Tyrone “Moo Moo” Baker and Amp Seals, represented the East team against the West team. The East team was made up of players from Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties.
