A Chamberlain double scored Willis. Hunter Sullivan was next and drew a walk. Matt Gillis singled to score Chamberlain and Sullivan.

Gillis scored when the ball rolled into the Bulldog dugout as the Patriots tried to throw him out stealing third.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs their bats went silent after the second inning as they managed just two more hits the last five frames.

Pace tied the game with three runs in the third. The big blow of the inning was a two-run homer by Brooks that came after another Crestview error kept the inning alive for the Patriots.

The Patriots scored another unearned run in the fifth inning and broke the game open with five runs in the sixth. Once again errors played a big role in big inning by Pace.

Bulldog starting pitcher Corey Armstrong worked into the sixth inning and took the loss. Armstrong gave up five hits and struck out five Patriot batters.

Patriot relief pitcher Chase Lambert picked up the win.
