CRESTVIEW — Taylor Rolison scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Kelsie Dardon in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Crestview High School softball team a 2-1 win over Larue County Kent., on Thursday.

Rolison led off the inning with a walk to end the evening for Hawk starting pitcher Kayla Skaggs. Skaggs was replaced in the circle by Emillee Cundiff.

Rolison proceeded to steal second and took third as pinch hitter Taylor Henderson grounded out to the circle for the first out of the inning. Dardon then took a 2-strike pitch to center field to score Rolison.

Skaggs and Crestview's Kristin Bufkin seemed to match each other pitch for pitch most of the game.

Bufkin, who went the distance in the circle for the Bulldogs in picking put the win, struck out five Hawk batters while allowing just four hits and the one run.

Skaggs gave up just five hits and the costly walk to Rolison that turned into the game-winning run.
