Crestview girls blank Baker

Two quick Lefevre goals to start the second half put the Bulldogs within a point of finishing off the win.

Baylee O’Marra finished off the win with the goal that put the Bulldogs up 8-0.

The outmanned Gators struggled to get the ball into their offensive end of the field and never got close enough to get a shot on goal.

First-year Gator Coach Ashley Treadway knows it will take time for the Baker, which is only in its third year, to progress. Playing a bigger school like Crestview is part of her plan to develop the program.

“We did this so we can see some bigger schools and how they play,” she said.”Yes, we have a lot to do and a lot to grow on, but I wanted the girls to see the level of competition I wanted the program to get to in the next couple of years.

“I think this will help us realize we have to be quicker (to the ball) and we have to get there. We have to be able step up our game and be competitive with the Crestview High Schools and all the big schools. We want our little school to step up and be that competitive too.”
