BAKER — It didn’t take long for Crestview High School’s Nichole Lefevre to transition from volleyball to soccer. Two days after finishing her season with the Bulldog volleyball, Lefevre scored three goals for the soccer team Thursday as Crestview beat Baker 8-0.

The match was called early in the second half on the mercy rule.

“We’ve got three or four starting ninth graders and we do OK,” Crestview Coach Carl Everitt said. “We are very young.

“I’d like to see a little more spirit and determination from some of them because they are not used to this level. But there are lots of positives and we are going to be OK.”

Not surprisingly it was all Bulldogs (2-0) from the outset.

Hannah Nolan picked up the first score of the match at the 15-minute mark. Two minutes later Ruby Webb scored the first of her two goals, and the romp was on.

Lefevre’s first goal of the match came with 24 minutes gone. Webb’s second score pushed the Crestview lead to 4-0. Chelsea Aguila scored late in the first half as the Bulldogs took a 5-0 lead into the half time break.
