Bulldogs fall in extra innings

Fort Walton Beach tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when Kilpatrick scored with two out on a wild pitch by Bulldog reliever Roman Donofro.

Neither team scored in the eighth and Boswell held Crestview scoreless in the top of the ninth setting up Kilpatrick's heroics.

Nick Rathke led off the Viking ninth with an infield hit and was replaced by Dudley. A Boswell sacrifice moved Dudley to second base and Kilpatrick turned on a 1-2 pitch from Donofro to deliver the game winner.

"You have to give them credit," Bulldog coach Tim Gillis said. They played a lot harder than us and that's on the coach.

"We didn't execute when we had to execute, and again, that's on me. That's my fault."
