Bulldogs bounce back

Armstrong scored the first Bulldog run in the third inning. He singled, moved to second on an Austin Armstrong hit and scored on a base hit by Colter Hancock.

Crestview added second run in the fourth.

Cadenhead reached on an error to lead off the inning and moved to third on hits by Larkins and Hunter Sullivan as the Bulldogs loaded the bases. Cadenhead scored when Corey Armstrong walked with the base loaded.

Crestview broke the game open with five runs in the sixth inning. Matt Gillis’ two-run double was the big blow of the inning.

The Bulldogs added three more runs in the top of the seventh with Sullivan connecting for a double to plate Hunter Willis and Cadenhead.

Crestview played rock solid defense through the first five innings. By the time the Bulldogs did make a couple of errors they were in front by seven runs.

“I thought we played really good defense early on, for sure,” Tim Gillis said. “We made some plays.
