Blue Devils make short work of Gators

A 3-pointer by Miles to open the second quarter put Holmes County up 28-2.

Back-to-back scores by Natalie Booker, who led the Gators with seven points, got Baker to within 22 points of the Blue Devils early in the second quarter.

Holmes County used a relentless full-court press well into the second quarter, although Baker had just seven players on the roster.

Holmes County backed out of the press when Devin Miles scored, putting the Blue Devils up 46-8 with 2:18 left in the half.

Holmes County led 52-10 at the half and 62-15 at the end of the third quarter.

Phillips scored five points for Baker. Hayley Melanson had three points and Taylor Martin two points each.
