Armstrong to start at quarterback as Bulldogs host Leon

Hatten hopes to use this week's game with Leon and next week's game at Pine Forest to fine tune things before hosting Tate in the District 1-7A opener on Oct. 18.

"We will get better and we've got two more games to get better (before district play)," Hatten said. "We've got to wear that scarlet letter with that 1-4 record. But I've been in the game a long time and the prize is you want to make the playoffs.

"You want to make the playoffs and you want to be competitive. I don't care who we play we are going to be competitive because we've got good players. We've just got to make sure we make adjustments based on what we do right or wrong and we are still doing that."

What: Leon at Crestview
