But what about 15 straight district titles? That's just showing off.

That's the reality for the Baker Gators, who beat Laurel Hill 25-10, 25-13, 25-16 at home Thursday night for the District 1-1A crown. No stats were reported.

 

Next Thursday they'll host the District 2-1A runner-up in the Sweet 16.

South Walton 3, Pensacola Catholic 2

Madi Daum had 24 kills, 18 digs and three aces, Taylor Prince delivered 21 digs and the Seahawks overcame a 0-2 deficit to win the District 1-5A title 20-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-12, 16-14.

Maddy Hiers added 20 kills and four blocks for the Seahawks, who begin their quest for a fourth straight Final Four when they host the District 2-5A runner-up in the region quarterfinals next Wednesday.

NFC 3, Rocky Bayou 0

Despite nine kills from Rominey Willner and 18 assists from Lydia Turner, the Knights lost 22-25, 22-25, 23-25 at home Thursday in the District 1-3A championship.

Melanie Marchena added five kills for the Knights, who hit the road next Thursday to face the District 4-3A champion in the region semifinals.
