“E Pluribus Unum” — Of Many One. This inscription is located on most all of our pieces of currency, signifying the union of many divergent groups coming together under one umbrella, creating one nation — the United States of America.
Individuals coming from various countries became citizens and were “melted” together into this great group called Americans. But, as our nation has progressed from the early 1950s, this umbrella has been split into numerous individual umbrellas by none other than our own Supreme Court, Chief Executives and Congress — our own leaders (many ignorant of our basic foundation) whom we have hired to keep it together. Each “new umbrella” is claiming its own system of protection and rights separate from the original, openly opposing the fundamental documents established by our forefathers.
This opposition, encouraged by current politics, has created an unrest, mistrust and open rebellion. Our newly elected leaders need our support, not radical, violent opposition, to attempt to return these divergent groups back under one umbrella to the status of “E Pluribus Unum” as it was in the past.
And, it would not hurt for each one of us to become familiar with those three foundational documents, and the lives of the men fighting for and creating them, which had resulted in our nation’s universal popularity and superiority.
Let us get back to just one nation, supported and maintained totally by “We the People.”
