Woman injured in horse-riding accident

BLACKMAN – Lifeflight transported a woman to Sacred Heart Hospital Monday morning after the horse she was riding fell on top of her.
The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. at the Northwest Florida Speedway off State Road 189 in the community of Blackman.
The name of the woman injured in the accident has not been released. A dispatcher said the woman is 36 years old.
She was with a group of horseback riders traveling to Bonifay for that city’s annual rodeo.
