Man slams woman's head into floor

BAKER - A man who slammed his ex-girlfriend's head into the floor about a dozen times was arrested.

The man and woman, who have a child together, met for lunch, but the woman decided to leave after an argument erupted between them, according to a police report.

She placed their child into her car, but realized she had forgotten the child's doll and went to get it. When she went inside, she told the man he could explain to their child why they weren't together anymore.

The comment didn't sit well with the man, and he jumped from his chair and grabbed the woman by the face and shoved her to the floor. He then proceeded to hit her head against the floor and demand "if that is what she wanted."

The woman escaped and called authorities. When questioned, the man said he had grabbed the woman and forced her to the floor, adding "there was no excuse for his actions and he knew what he did was wrong."

He was arrested for domestic battery.
