NOMC honors volunteers

The North Okaloosa Medical Center took time last week from patching wounds, delivering babies and mending bones to recognize a key cadre of its healers: its 51 volunteers.

The volunteers gathered April 30 — appropriately in the middle of National Volunteer Week — for the hospital’s Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet.

Each volunteer received a special lapel pin featuring the year they began their service to the institution and the community.
