• Did you know July was proclaimed National Blueberry Month in 2003 by the Secretary of Agriculture? Blueberries are a native North American fruit produced in 35 states with a harvested area at more than 46,000 acres. All citizens are called upon to recognize and celebrate the highbush blueberry with ceremony and activities. Brewton, Ala., is known for its Blueberry Festival.
Great-grandchildren, Austin, Alisha and Ashlyn, (the triple A’s) picked gallons of blueberries to take home for pies and sharing. Parents Greg and Denise Rowan from Griffin, Ga., found other things to do during their visit last week. They all enjoyed several days of going to see the lovely white sand beaches. We are left with a house rocking with silence.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11-12 (NIV)
