Laurel Hill students honored in VFW Patriotic Art Contest (with photo)

Laurel Hill senior art students Jeffery Reese and Heather Kelley placed first and second in a Patriotic Poster Contest sponsored by the VFW Post 5450 Ladies Auxiliary.

Reese received $100 for his first-place entry. Kelley won $50 for her second place poster. Art teacher Sabine Lyons used the contest as an opportunity to get her students involved in the community by incorporating the project into their grades.

“I’m definitely proud of them,” Lyons said.
