Daughter busted for spending spree with dad's credit card

CRESTVIEW - A 30-year-old woman who went on a spending spree with her father's credit card was arrested after police found her driving his car.

Melissa Sterner swiped the card and car and then spent more than $1,100 before she was located, according to the incident report.

After her father told officers he wanted to press charges for the unauthorized use of his credit card, Sterner was located on Martin Luther King Jr., Boulevard in Crestview and was surrounded by several officers.

Later, when officers questioned her about why she had taken the credit card she said, "I  just needed money."

Items she purchased included cigarettes and a PlayStation that she later sold to a man in a pickup truck. In all, she tried to use the card a dozen times.
