Woman accused of using sister as 'punching bag'

CRESTVIEW - A woman accused of punching her sister over an electric bill was arrested for domestic battery.

When police arrived, the women had separated and the victim was outside with some redness on her arm, but no other apparent injuries, according to the incident report.

The trouble began, according to the victim, when the suspect arrived home and noticed the air-conditioner was running. The suspect argued with the victim about the electric bill and then began to punch her in the abdomen.

The suspect, who had a small scratch on her chin and a bruise on her inner arm, said the victim had called her a "whore" and a "slut"  and then said she used her sister as a "punching bag" because the statements made her mad.

The victim confirmed she made those statements, but then said she had done it to retaliate against her sister's attack and she scratched the suspect was trying to get away.

Both women declined medical treatment.
