Okaloosa under tornado watch
According to the National Weather Service, Okaloosa County is under a tornado watch until 5 p.m. The weather is part of a storm front moving east that flooded parts of Texas on Wednesday.
Okaloosa County School Board officials said that all after-school tutoring classes have been canceled and a decision will be made during the noon hour regarding any middle school athletics planned for this afternoon.
They advise that parents should call their child's school direct with specific questions about cancellations.
Weather forecasts for today call for isolated thunderstorms this morning, then mostly cloudy during the afternoon with thunderstorms becoming likely.
