Student charged with battery

A Davidson Middle School student put on a padded glove before punching someone in the mouth, according to his Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest report.
An official at the school said that the incident occurred after school hours in the Winn Dixie parking lot.
The 13-year-old boy was arrested Aug. 24, the same day the incident took place.
Witnesses and the victim told the deputy that he had reached into his backpack, taken out the padded glove and put it on before striking the victim.
He was charged with battery.
