Troy Counseling & Psychology info session available

Troy University's Crestview satellite campus will offer an informational session about its Counseling and Psychology programs on Tuesday, March 23.

The session will take place at Troy's campus in the former Southside Elementary School, 650 S. Pearl Street on the corner of South Ferdon Boulevard from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

"Guests are invited to stop by anytime" between those hours, said Troy's site coordinator Charlotte Ridgell.

Dr. Dodie Meier, the school's Counseling & Psychology program coordinator, will be there to answer questions about Troy’s graduate and undergraduate psychology degree programs.

Ridgell said in a press release that the graduate program offers two tracks: (1) The 60-hour Clinical Mental Health track, (2) the 36-hour Social Service Counseling track. The graduate programs are offered in class one night a week or through a weekend format.

"Our undergraduate program can be taken completely online and students can transfer regionally accredited courses from other colleges, CLEP, DANTES and military training into the undergraduate degree program," Ridgell said. "Our terms are nine weeks each and financial aid is available."

For more information or to register for the information session, contact Ridgell at 865-7631 or e-mail Crestview@Troy.edu.

"It is never too late to take that next step in professional and personal development," Ridgell reminded.
