Helping others pays off big for local promotions company
CRESTVIEW – Local business owner Karen Phillips, has just been awarded the 2009 Galaxy Award by the Vernon Company, a national promotional products company located in Newton, Iowa, having served the business-to-business gift and incentive industry for over one hundred years.
The Galaxy Award is presented annually to a promotional products distributor who demonstrates outstanding use of promotional products in a client’s marketing and corporate branding program.
This is Phillips’ third year in a row for being recognized. She is the owner of So.Tier Ink, a Vernon Company dealer located in Crestview. She began her career in advertising and promotions in 1990 and has continued to excel in her field. She has received numerous industry awards for her dedication and creative execution of the brand, she is extremely proud of the award this year, as it is with an agency she is very fond of.
The Nutrition Outreach and Education Program with the State of New York’s Nutrition Consortium shares the award with Phillips. David Reynolds, director of the program says, Karen Phillips provided her extraordinary creative and marketing talents in developing a new logo, posters for six statewide campaigns, and a promotional tote bag for the Nutrition Outreach and Education Program of New York State. The experience of working with Karen Phillips enabled NOEP to achieve its full marketing potential. Her overall approach to creative design is hands on, client oriented, and incorporates her expertise and vast knowledge of marketing and advertising.
